My first wedding of 2013 was a spectacular one. Katherine and Boyd from Ayrshire had an amazing January wedding, which even included a walk on the beach. Please visit my website and Facebook Page for more information, or get in touch to request a Wedding Photography brochure.
The day started for the boys with breakfast at The Village Inn, in Boyd's hometown of Fairlie in Ayrshire.
Meanwhile the girls were getting ready at Katherine's Mums house in Wemyss Bay.
A really relaxed bride and plenty of time to get ready and enjoy the winter sunshine that flooded into the house.
Katherine had an amazing dress for her wedding. It was wonderful to capture moments as she got ready for her big day.
Onto the church in Fairlie.
Kat's bridesmaids helped her get the dress ready for her walk up the aisle whilst sun pours into the reception room of the church.
Always an emotional moment for father and daughter, the walk up the aisle.
Katherine and Boyd love sharing funny moments and have a great sense of humour, it was a pleasure to capture them throughout the day.
After the service the Bridal Party walked to the nearby beach for some pictures. Ironically this was one of the few parts of the UK not to have snow that weekend.
Katherine had a natural smile and glow all day so it made taking pictures very easy.
On now to Alloway, near Ayr and The Brig o' Doon House Hotel
I was so impressed with The Brig o' Doon House Hotel. The service from the Wedding Co-oridnators was excellent, also the facilities and settings were amazing. Here is Katherine looking out of the Bridal suite on the first floor of the hotel.
I made the couples choice of pictures from their pre-wedding photography session into a signing board for their guests to sign. Their choice of picture was a black and white autumnal picture that I took of them in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow's West End.
Walking into the function room at The Brig o' Doon you can't help but be impressed by the setting.
In the grounds of The Brig o' Doon House Hotel is the famous bridge from Robert Burn's poem Tam o' Shanter. Alloway is the birthplace of Burns.
First dance and for me the end of a very enjoyable day of Wedding Photography. Congratulations to Katherine and Boyd and well done on an incredible and special wedding.
