Stirling Eye

Paul Saunders Media and Photography feature in the latest edition of the free business magazine Stirling Eye.

In a Business Profile I tell the story of the launch last year of my new media and photography business in Stirling, Loch Lomond and Glasgow. Illustrating the article are three very different pictures, one of me with Stevie Wonder whilst making a radio programme, one that I took of a New York sunset that was recently published by Lonely Planet and an example of one of my family portraits.

Elsewhere in the magazine there is an interview with Gillian MacDonald, Executive Manager of Stirling Castle. Gillian gives a progress report of the £12 million palace project, which will return Stirling Castle back to how it was in the mid-16th century. I was commissioned by Stirling Eye to shoot an image of Gillian in the castle for use in that feature, below is the published image.

Portraits of Children

I find photographing children a lot of fun. It’s a chance to be silly, make them laugh, and just play, they often then reward you with the opportunity to capture strong, stunning and natural pictures.

The best way of getting them to relax is to is to give them something to do, let them relax and have some fun. They soon forget that they’re having their photograph taken. The result gives the parent images that show the true look and character of their child.

Stunning scenery surrounds us with interesting backdrops that we can use for the photography session; all we need to add to make it special is lots and lots of fun! Pretty easy really, the end result will give you a series of vibrant images shot using beautiful natural light.

I want to create for you pictures of your children that come alive, a collection of pictures that tell a story in an album or an image or collection of images that can be presented in high quality wall art to hang in your home.

I am registered and approved by Disclosure Scotland to work with children and I look forward to hearing from you to see how we can capture the personality and character of your children with some stunning images.

Marie Curie Hospice Glasgow - Daffodil Ball

on Saturday night it was the James Bond themed Marie Curie Daffodil Ball to raise much needed funds for the running of their Glasgow Hospice. The charity needs £6000 of voluntary donations to run the hospice each and every day.

BBC Radio Bryan Burnett hosted the night superbly and there were also guest appearances from STV's weather man Sean Batty and Greg Hemphill of Still Game fame.

I was the photographer for the event and had a very enjoyable night. Here are just a few of the pictures from the night.
